Last week my family and I stumbled across pjs pancake house during lunch. We had never been to Princeton before and we were passing through in our way home. It was lunch and my kids love pancakes. So we decided to stop in. The wait for a family of 5 was 30 minutes at 2 pm. But they were able to seat us at the counter immediately. So we did that. My daughter ordered pancakes. My husband ordered the lemon ricotta special pancakes. My sons had burgers. I had the avocado stuffed with egg and bacon. We all enjoyed the food. Solid 4 out of 5. I don't think it compares with some of our local or north jersey diners. It was small and stuffy. The food took a long time to come out. But we had a good time and would come again.

Came in on a late Friday morning. Thankfully, there was no line outside. We were greeted at the door by a friendly host and seated immediately. The place was bustling inside and our server soon came to take our orders. He was efficient and friendly as well. Soon after, our food came out and not only was the plating nice but the food was overall delightfully delicious. Pancakes are their cream of the crop --hence the name. But definitely a spot that I wouldn't hesitate bringing friends and family to, to give them a taste of historic Princeton.

We had a great seat at the bar with fast service, we even saw our food being made! And the food did not disappointed, Mac and cheese were so good! Great place to eat at Princeton!

Got there around 10:15 and was able to get a table for six easily. Staff was attentive and food game out so quick. Small and packed place but was able to hear everyone and everyone was happy with their meal.

Service- great, the waiter was attentive and nice. Ambiance- it's a dive of a breakfast/diner joint in the Best way. Food- Perfect. The flight of pancakes!??! You heard right, A Flight of Pancakes! I could eat here every night. For the breakfast for dinner folks this is a dream. The scoops of hash brown mush- it sounds not so good but tasted great. Only one change would make this place epic- whipped butter! The foil wrapped squares are good but the pancakes and French toast here deserve whipped butter. As an out of towner, this place came recommended by a local and did not disappoint!

PJ's Pancake House seems to be a culinary pillar of this part of Jersey. We were only in Princeton for the weekend and asked around for a few must-eat spots. It seemed that PJ's Pancake House came up more than a few times. We were heartened by the line that was already forming at its doors on a Sunday morning, knowing that where there's a line, good food awaits. (And for those who disdain a queue, rest assured, the line moves fast, mainly because the servers and line cooks move around with frightening efficiency). The pancakes are well worth the rave. We got two of their pecan pancakes, and they neared perfection in their fluffiness, taste, and the sheer density of pecans that were tossed into the batter. I also ordered some scrambled eggs and bacon on the side, which were just fine. My husband went somewhat rogue with the shakshuka, which is a tomato-based stew with poached eggs. It's served with several crusty pieces of bread, and it's hard to understate how sexily the crostini skated through that thick, savory gravy and egg yolk. If we had any complaints, it was a little saltier than we would've liked. Those waiting in line are often given a choice - counter seats open up faster, but table seats are more comfortable. We opted to grab seats at a counter, and it was fun to watch the dizzying action in the kitchen and around the service stations.

PJ's Pancake House never disappoints. I picked up an order this morning of their delicious Banana Coconut Rum Pancakes. Unfortunately when I got there I was told my order wasn't made because they updated their system and didn't receive it. I only had to wait 5 minutes, but with limited parking I had to park in an unloading only spot. Maybe I'll try another flavor of pancakes, but these have been my go-to.

Came here for brunch on a long weekend! Expect a line if you're going during peak times, though it does move quickly. PJs is a staple of brunch in Princeton, and I had a great experience going with my partner. He got three pancakes (which were super large and substantive for about $14), and the menu lets you try a variety of pancakes instead of just an order of three. I really enjoyed the chocolate and peanut butter and the pistachio and chai. The buckwheat didn't quite do it for me. I got their skillet steak with onions and peppers, which came with two fried eggs (~$18). I'll admit this came a bit underseasoned, but I was able to save it with the hot sauces, etc at the table. We left the meal fairly bursting, while the prices were super reasonable. Service was good, but the servers definitely had a lot going on and we needed to flag their attention a few times. Floors are sticky and I did see an ant crawling around our table, which was less great. But overall, the ambience is pretty nice (it's darker if you sit inside, almost pub-like), and there's some charm in the initials carved into the table.

I went here Saturday morning with two of my friends and it was a good time. We were able to sit in a booth within 10-15 mins of getting there. Our waiter was checked in a few times throughout the meal and filled out beverages when needed. He was super nice and answered questions about the menu as well. I got the coconut banana rum pancakes which fluffy and delicious. I ordered the two fer which came with eggs-any style and an order of meat. I would definitely order these again. Once we finished, you could tell it was getting more crowded and there was a breakfast rush. It's not a huge restaurant, but it has a good amount of seats.

Perfect place for Saturday brunch. The menu is pretty expansive and includes some dishes that are very unique. My friend and I ordered the Nutella and strawberry French toast, the mexishuka, and a side of grits, all were delicious. The portion sizes are great for the price and we left there feeling so full. I personally had the mexishuka and my taste buds were thoroughly impressed. The chorizo has the perfect amount of spice and it meshed so well with the eggs and guacamole. I love the side of chips that came with it, balanced it out perfectly. Definitely would come back here to try some other dishes I had my eye on! The service was great for a Saturdays. Although it was pretty busy, our server was attentive but also gave us space to enjoy our meal and catch up. I love the divey feel of this place, Takes me back to my college days!
